Roller Skating Instructor for the Theatre Production of Xanadu
Early 2023 was a real treat for me when I was asked to become the official roller skating instructor for the ABET Theatre’s production of Xanadu! For several months I worked with the cast members to help them feel comfortable on their skates and learn basic skills. Most of the cast had never skated before, but within a short period of time, I had them up and rolling!

River City Live Interview: “Roller Skating and Mid-Life Crisis“
Back in December 2020, I personally started an adult roller skating session at Skate Station Mandarin on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month (this has since moved to every single Thursday night from 7:30-10 p.m.). Eden Kendall of Channel 4 news shared a story on the adult night and jokes that she may be having a “mid-life crisis”. You can check out the video here.

“Roller Pole @ Alt Fit Jax“
In June 2019, Alt Fit Jax invited me to join one of their classes that was being filmed as a promo for the studio on News4Jax. This unique fitness studio features silks classes, aerial yoga, and ROLLER POLE (think pole dancing + roller skates). I am a substitute teacher for the roller pole class from time to time.

Roller Skating Summer Camp
I was thrilled to be a part of the inaugural Lady Skate Day summer camp in 2022! The camp was free of cost and helped teens in the LGBTQ+ community learn how to roller skate or skateboard. I personally designed the week-long program for the roller skating portion of the camp and helped local teens learn how to roller skate on flat ground as well as ramps. First Coast News hosted a segment to help promote the event. You can watch the clip below.

An interview with Morgan Weske to Promote our Workshop Collaboration

One of my favorite skating events [thus far] was flying skating superstar, Morgan Wesky to Jacksonville to teach two dance skate workshops. As part of the promotion for the event, Eden Kendall from River City Live was kind enough to do an interview.
